My name is Kate Larson. I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree at Marquette University in Milwaukee in 1995, and my Master’s of Arts degree in education through St. Mary’s University – Winona in 1999. I have been teaching preschool, middle school, and elementary school for a total of 25 years, and this is my 19th year teaching 4th grade at Faithful Shepherd. I had a wonderful experience growing up in Catholic schools, and now my own two children are Faithful Shepherd Stars in grades 6 and 8. We love the sense of community here.
I absolutely love 4th grade — both from when I was a student myself, and now as a teacher — and feel it is what I am called to teach. Children at this age make great strides in becoming independent, well-rounded learners, fostering communication skills, and developing leadership skills. It is my mission to help students be the best they can be in these areas and in all that they do!
