There is no greater example of Faithful Shepherd’s strong sense of community than in one of our many fundraiser events. These events combine the gifts of parent volunteers, the energy of our students, and the financial contributions of our community into fun and exciting experiences that encompass everything Faithful Shepherd has to offer. In addition to raising funds, they also provide community-building experiences in support of our children’s growth and development.
Faithful Shepherd hosts several initiatives to supplement our expenses and maintain the high quality education our families can expect for their sons and daughters. From evening parent events to fun student-lead activities, we are blessed and grateful for this financial support.
Did you know that Faithful Shepherd has been host to the “Biggest Lil’ Block Party in the ‘Burbs” for the last 10 years? From rock bands to family festivals, it’s two and a half days of fun for the whole family under the big tent during a beautiful Fall weekend. Click here for more details.
The Gala Committee is in full-swing preparing for our first-ever virtual event on May 1st. Despite not gathering in-person this year, this fundraising event will be full of excitement! Join us for a (FS) star-studded night as we watch 7 of our favorite teachers compete for the Mirror Ball Trophy. Keep an eye out for weekly newsletters starting after spring break that will highlight different features of our fundraising night! Click here to learn more.
The Faithful Shepherd STAR Fund provides current families, alumni, our parishes, and the broader community an open opportunity to contribute to our school’s funding needs by helping to close the gap between tuition and the actual cost of education. Anyone who wants to support a Catholic education can donate to the STAR Fund. Through call campaigns and outreach efforts, this fundraiser is supported by many volunteers who contribute their talents in the raising of funds. To donate, click here.
The Future STARS Fund is a scholarship program aimed at giving alumni parents an opportunity to make a Catholic education available to a student who otherwise could not afford tuition. Blessed by the opportunity to have their child receive a Faithful Shepherd education, many families choose to give to this scholarship program as a way to give back and say thank you. This year we decided to return to an event we had done in the past – The Marathon – as a way to bring us together as a school community, complete a 5K by walking, biking, or running, and raise money for the school. Unfortunately, social distancing and stay at home practices have created a need to change the format.
So while we can’t do this as a group, we can still do this together in spirit, and come together as a community during the week of May 25-29 to support our school, our teachers, our children. It’s a great way to stay connected as a community even though we are apart. For more information, click here. To make a donation, click here.
