I am currently teaching 6th-8th grade Social Studies and also coach basketball. I love teaching and coaching here at FSCS. When coaching the students I get to know them so much better. I have been lucky enough find out their interests and things they enjoy to do in life each day.
I grew up in Dickinson, North Dakota. I enjoy my family, hunting and playing sports. The sports I enjoy are racquetball, softball, and basketball. I also enjoy watching sports and I am a huge fan of Duke Basketball. I have two children and a great wife. They are Briley, Broox, and Michelle. Briley is now a 8th grader and Broox is a 5th grader here at FSCS.
My job as a teacher is to help students be good citizens. A student learning morals and respect in society is so important. I would like to think that we have a greater call to action; to ensure that students are learning respectful actions toward themselves and towards others, that they are able to contribute to a community, that they are helping our nation and bettering our society. One person can make a difference. If everyone in our world tried to make a difference our society would be inspired! Everyone could start paying it forward.
I received my bachelors degree in teaching from Dickinson State University in Dickinson, North Dakota. Go Blue Hawks! I got my Masters in Education in Curriculum Development from Augustana University in May 2015.
I am currently in my 20th year of teaching, 15 of those years here at Faithful Shepherd. Go Stars!
