Grades and Grading

Grades will be given for tests, quizzes, and the trimester final.

The grade you receive on your report card is the grade you earn in the classroom. I do not allocate work for extra credit, I do not adjust grades, and I do not allow retakes of quizzes and tests.

Grades:  

A – 93 to 100%
B – 86 to 92%
C – 76 to 85%
D – 65 to 75%

Grades are weighted.

Accelerated Classes:

Quizzes   30%      A twice a week, five-minute evaluation of 1 or 2 sections.
Tests       50%      A forty-minute chapter test.
Final       20%      The final covers all completed chapters.
