Grades and Grading

Grades will be given for Wednesday tests, Chapter tests, and the Trimester final.

The grade you receive on your report card is the grade you earn in the classroom. I do not allocate work for extra credit, I do not adjust grades, and I do not allow retakes of quizzes and tests.

Grades:  

A – 90 to 100%
B – 80 to 90%
C – 70 to 80%
D – 60 to 70%

Grades are weighted.

Accelerated Classes:

Quizzes                    30%      A cumulative quiz on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Chapter Tests         50%      A forty-minute chapter test.
Final                         20%      The semester final covers all completed chapters.
