Welcome to Kindergarten at Faithful Shepherd Catholic School. Your child’s first year of school is an exciting one of growth. Our Kindergarten teachers look forward to helping your child develop academically, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually. While we cannot measure every way in which your child will grow this year, we do have a set of targets for each main subject area. These targets, known as “I Can” statements tell you what we expect our students to know and do each trimester.
My name is Katie Clifton and this is my 5th year teaching kindergarten at Faithful Shepherd. I earned my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Minnesota – Duluth. I started out my career subbing in the Twin Cities area, stayed at home for two years with my oldest son and then began teaching preschool so I could still be close to my 3 children. My husband, Scott and I live in Eagan with our 5 kids! Jack is 16, Danny and Zachary are 14, Linnea is 12 and Aubrey is 11. We enjoy being outside, playing games/sports, and taking trips to Duluth to see family. I am so blessed to be able to call this community home.
