3rd Grade Computer Class

At the conclusion of this grade level, the students will be able to do:
1. The Research Process
– evaluate information sources
– distinguish between fact and opinion

2. Technology Use
– format text using font styles and sizes
– create a spreadsheet with rows and columns

3. Reading and Media Literacy
– evaluate media for quality, accuracy, and purpose
– understand how meaning is conveyed in images and sound

4. Responsible Use of Information and Technology
– follow school’s acceptable use policies
– demonstrate self-motivation and increasing responsibility for learning
– collaborate to share knowledge, information, and technology use
