Working under the Professional Learning Communities model, teachers utilize I Can statements that allow your child to achieve the highest levels of success. I Can statements are grade-level targets written in student-friendly language to help measure your child’s progress. These targets clearly show students what they need to know and do to advance themselves in their education.
Teachers use knowledge gained through pre-assessments and testing to tailor the program for individual students and help them achieve the I Can targets. Those already proficient are provided the opportunity to work on advanced learning activities designed to expand and apply these learning targets. Flexible groupings for each unit of study based on skill level ensures that every student is progressing and learning. This approach provides a constant learning experience for all students.
