FSCS SUMMER PROGRAM 2020

 

*** The FSCS summer program will be open this summer. The summer program is scheduled for June 8th.  The goal of the program is to provide a safe and fun environment for children at Faithful Shepherd Catholic School.  Moving into the summer there will be a strong emphasis on safety dealing specifically with the COVID 19 pandemic.  There have been a number of suggestions and regulations passed down from the government.  I have added a link to the guidelines from the state of Minnesota.  Throughout the summer regulations may change and will be communicated with parents accordingly.  At this time the program will be limited to 18 students.  If there is an increase in registration there will be consideration to increase the potential size of the summer program.

 

Minnesota Guidelines

 

New Policies for this summer

• Groups will be limited to 10 individuals.
• Groups are discouraged from intermingling between one another.
• Teachers will wear masks throughout the day, students are not required to wear masks, but are allowed to do so.
• Parents will not be permitted in the building for drop off and pick up.
• Students will not be permitted to bring any items from home, other than their lunch, sunscreen, medical supplies, or extra clothing.
• Students will have their temperature checked during the day.
• Any student that is not feeling well or has a fever will not be permitted at camp.
• Social distancing being practiced throughout the day.

 

The summer of 2019 was so much fun, and we are pumped to announce that FSCS SUMMER CAMP registration is now open for year two.  We are excited to build on the fun experiences from last summer and strive to make this summer the best yet.  This summer we will put a focus on separating students into age groups throughout the day to ensure a great experience from kindergarten all the way through 8th grade.  The FSCS Summer Program staff strives to make each day an adventure and great experience for all of the students involved.  Throughout the summer we will be exploring many different themes that will foster learning and fun along with teaching students about kindness. 

 

FSCS SUMMER REGISTRATION 

 

Each day students will need: 

• Lunch (peanut free)
• Afternoon snack (peanut free)
• Active clothes, gym attire, appropriate clothing
• Sunscreen
• Tennis shoes
• Water bottles
• A smile

 

***Students will NOT be permitted to have electronics throughout the day; tablets, phones, smart watches, etc.  Phones will be kept in a safe place with staff.

 

Cost:

• Registration Fee: $50
• Daily Cost: $35
• Daily Cost (2 students): $30 per
• Daily Cost (3 students): $25 per

 

What to expect each week:

• Students will be very active throughout each week, with much of the time spent outside, in the gym, or moving during other activities.
• Students will work with one another on team building challenges and setting and achieving goals throughout the summer.
• Students will embrace a theme for each week that will be reflected in the activities throughout the week.
• Parents will sign in and sign out students each day 
  • Parent/Guardian Signature is required
• All inhalers and epipens will be kept by the leader teacher on duty.
