Remind me, where is the gala this year?
This year we will be celebrating our 20th anniversary at the Lost Spur Golf and Event Center located at 2750 Sibley Memorial Hwy in Eagan. There is ample parking, and if you purchased a VIP ticket you will receive a parking pass for access to the VIP lot!
What else does the VIP ticket get me?
I’m glad you asked! In addition to VIP parking you will also have unlimited beer, wine and cocktails all night long! Enjoy Prohibition style drinks from our special Speakeasy Menu too!
Dang! I didn’t buy a VIP ticket. Is it too late?
You’re in luck! You can upgrade your ticket for $50 at the door!
What time should we arrive?
Doors open at 5pm! Arrive between 5-6pm and you will receive a free drink ticket. We will be seated for dinner and the program at 7 pm.
Should I leave my coat in the car?
No need to freeze, there is a complementary coat check available.
When does the silent auction start? End?
New this year – we are opening up the silent auction at 8am so you could get a head start on bidding on the 100+ items in the auction. The silent auction will end at 7:45pm, giving you almost 12 hours of bidding!
Tell me more about mobile bidding.
On February 29 you will receive a text message asking you to register. This will not only make check-in easier, but will ensure you can bid on all of the fabulous items! Mobile bidding is the easiest way to participate in a silent auction. You can set your max bid on items and the system will automatically bid it up for you. You will receive text messages if you’ve been outbid and can monitor all of the items you want while sipping a glass of wine, enjoying some butler passed appetizers and chatting with your friends!
Oh shoot, I can’t make it to the gala! Can I still bid on items?
Yes! Click here to register to bid on any of the many fabulous items from the comfort of your own home (or whatever is keeping you away for the night!). Know that you’re missing a really fun time though! And if any of your friends and family outside of the FSCS community want to bid on items, please send them the link and they are more than welcome to bid!
Will I need to bring cash?
You sure will! We will have a 50/50 Fat Cash Raffle – $25 per ticket (Tickets are on sale now! Stop by and see Patti at school to get yours today!). If cold hard cash isn’t your thing but alcohol is, we will also be raffling off a Prohibition Wagon filled with all sorts of alcoholic goodies and some homemade hooch! No bathtub gin though, we promise. Tickets for the wagon are $20 each – cash only.
I’m hearing a lot about Group Events – how do I sign up?
I’m glad you asked! Signing up for Group Events is easy! There will be sign-up sheets in the same room as the silent auction items, so while you are browsing the silent auction items, sipping a cocktail and nibbling on some appetizers, you can sign-up for any and all of the fun Adult Group Events. Don’t forget to sign your kids up for their grade specific events as well! After all, it’s for the kids!
So, how does the live auction work?
We have so many fun and exciting live auction items this year! Our auctioneer will announce each item and start the bidding on each package’s minimum bid. All you need to do is raise your bid number high in the air to bid on that package! Things move quickly so pay attention!
Is there an after party?
Immediately following the program our live band, the R Factor, starts rocking! You won’t want to miss this party! Last call is at midnight this year!
