Q: When there’s a COVID case in school, what guidelines does the school use to figure out who is considered to have been exposed?

A: We start with MDH’s COVID-19 toolkit for school, which includes detailed guides that walk us through everything we need to consider.  Because each case is at least a little different, and because recommendations are continually updated, our nurses also consult with MDH and with our non-public schools liaison at DCPH (Dakota County Public Health) to make sure we’re interpreting all the guidelines correctly.
