I am excited to be a part of the Faithful Shepherd team again, seven years and counting! I taught ELA in middle school for two years then landed in 5th grade, where I have found my passion in connecting with students. I attended Catholic school grades K-12, so I know first-hand the value of faith in school. I attended the University of Northern Colorado, and earned a BA in Education with an emphasis in Language Arts. I continue to take various workshops and graduate courses from Hamline University. Finally, I am proud to share that three of our children attended Faithful Shepherd, received excellent educations, and formed lifelong friendships.
Our family lives in Eagan, and we belong to St. Thomas Becket Church community, where I am a Eucharistic minister. Outside of teaching, I enjoy the outdoors: watching our children play sports, hiking, snow skiing, and sitting around a bonfire. I love reading young adult literature, and hope to light a fire for reading in others, too! I feel very blessed to be a part of the Faithful Shepherd Community working together towards excellence! Join me in welcoming, “Millie” to our family during the summer of 2020! She has added joy and “busyness” to our already busy home.
Again, we know this coming year will look different from years past, I look forward to working with students and parents in welcoming you all back at the start of the school year. We will embrace the changes together, “we’re all in this together!”
