Hello! I am a graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato where I received my degree in Elementary Education (K-6) and Middle School Communication Arts and Literature (5-8), as well as from the University of St. Thomas where I earned my Master’s degree in Educational Studies with an emphasis in K-12 Reading. This is my thirteenth year teaching at Faithful Shepherd. I began my career at Faithful Shepherd as an elementary teacher and loved every minute of it! Eventually, I felt called to challenge myself in new ways and work with middle schoolers. This is my fourth year as a middle school ELA teacher. I’m looking forward to helping each student feel supported, encouraged, and empowered in their academic success.
I love teaching at Faithful Shepherd! Here I’m not only teaching students essential concepts and skills, I’m also helping to nurture their faith and relationship with God.
I am originally from Sauk Centre, Minnesota, and moved to the Twin Cities after attending college in Mankato. My husband, Isaac, and I live in Apple Valley. We have two beautiful daughters, Myra (3rd grade) and Eden (kindergarten). When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, playing games, and taking trips.
