About Mrs. Malmquist

This is my 39th year of teaching including my 23nd year at Faithful Shepherd Catholic School.  It is exciting to see the children I once taught in kindergarten graduate from 8th grade ready and well prepared to face the future!

Kindergarten is a year of new beginnings: a new school, new learning experiences, and new friends.  My favorite thing about teaching kindergarten is working with young children who are open to learning.  It is so rewarding to see where a child starts at the beginning of the school year and watch them grow spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.  I am blessed to be a part of the Faithful Shepherd community.

I am a proud parent of two Faithful Shepherd graduates.  Both of them received an excellent education at Faithful Shepherd, went on to excel at Cretin-Derham Hall high school, and continued on to college. My older daughter, Nicole, graduated from Drake University in Iowa and my younger daughter, Andrea, graduated from Loyola University in Chicago.

I have a BA in Education from St. Catherine University and a Masters in Education from the University of Minnesota.  I continue to take various workshops and graduate courses.
