Faithful Shepherd strives to give every child an opportunity for the richest possible academic experience. We use the Levels of Service Model to enhance and develop each child’s God-given gifts. We provide K-3 flexibly-grouped enrichment in math and reading. By providing enrichment as an integral component of differentiated learning, students are challenged to learn at their individual “sweet spot” so as to keep them engaged in learning and remain fulfilled in their pursuit of excellence.
Our team of specialized teachers collaborate to ensure all students are working to their fullest potential. For students in grades 4 and 5 who show high potential in math and/or reading and who are evaluated for placement in Level III Math and/or Level III Reading, Faithful Shepherd will provide the opportunity for a faster-paced curriculum and a curriculum that dives deeper into the content area. Our program uniquely provides students the opportunity to grow academically, while seamlessly integrating Level III Math/Reading Enrichment into the normal school day. This allows their learning needs to be met while continuing to develop normal relationships with their peers.
Faithful Shepherd strives to instill academic responsibility in our students; commitment by the students and families is a critical component of our academic community. Grades 4 and 5 Level III Enrichment students are required to maintain a minimum grade of a B in order to remain participating in Level III Enrichment. Students’ placement in Level III Enrichment will be evaluated on an annual basis. This insures the best match of the student’s learning needs and the acknowledgement that these needs may change over time.
